At the age of 12 Mark cycled across Scotland and by the time he was 15 he had pedalled his way from John O’Groats to Land’s End.
His first major expedition was a decade ago and it was the same circumnavigation World Record. Back then Mark cycled unsupported and took 82 days off the previous best time, in a journey that was captured for the BBC and in the book ‘The Man who Cycled the World.’
Since then the cyclist, adventurer and broadcaster has continued to make history. Now married and a father to two young children, Marks latest adventure will pushed him further physically and mentally than ever before – and re-defined the limits of what is humanly possible. Around the world in 80 days. Learn more about his record breaking ride here.
