The Sector 25 has a claimed capacity of 25 litres, but the Altura is smaller than the others here. Our test load still squeezed inside it - crucially there's enough width to fit size 10 shoes in sideways rather than upright - but the laptop compartment is sized more for an iPad than a Macbook. However, if you can do a thorough commute audit and can work with a bit less space at your disposal, the Sector 25 will serve you well. The design is attractive, incorporating a tweed-patterned textile that blends classic with outdoorsy high tech, while fluoro accents and thoughtfully placed reflective tape ensure you stay visible when riding. There's not really an organiser as such inside the Sector 25 - it's more of a simple divider made from the lining fabric that keeps the laptop or tablet seperate. There's a chest strap and not a waist strap, but if you're carrying the smaller load for which the Altura is intended, that's enough. There are also useful side straps to compact it once loaded (or when emptier). This is a good-quality backpack at a great price but it will be on the small side for some.
