Fits really well. Like the reflective dots detailing. Orange is bright without being vulgar. Rear storage pocket decent size and zipped.

I have an old altura jacket with an inner mesh

I have an old altura jacket with an inner mesh lining that wicked away the sweat brilliantly. The new one only has one material, no inner lining, which means the sweat stays in contact with my arms in particular.

Solid 'trad feel' waterproof - missing the old lining but feels bombproof.

Had many iterations of these over the years. Back in the days these had a nice comfy mesh liner, and in distant past even a nice soft feel material. This jacket has a cold rubbery feel on inside. It is however bombproof with sealed seams and solid zips.I understand this is all progress with more environmentally friendly materials, and hoping it will be more durable as the old jackets whose waterproof membranes did peel off over time. But rather than a thermal liner in the top 'Typhoon' range I'd pay to have a better feel inside with a mesh liner..

Total Eclipse of the Rain...haha. Great jacket and worth the money.

I bought the Altura Nightvision Storm Men’s Waterproof Jacket in Total Eclipse, and I have to say...it’s properly impressive. A great price too!

It seems to be properly waterproof too. Breathable enough and the reflective details are reassuring without making you look like a roadworks sign.

The fit’s comfortable, the pockets are actually useful (a rare triumph), and it feels well made; like it’ll last more than this current wet & dismal British winter, which is saying something. All in all, a cracking jacket that does exactly what it promises, and looks good doing it. Happy to recommend.

Great jacket for commuting

Great jacket for commuting. This is my second Altura Storm, the previous one having lasted 4 years. Disappointed to discover that the font pockets have been removed in the newer model; they were deep and great for popping your house keys in as you left the building. The remaining back pocket or chest pocket would not work for a 'hard spiky' item like keys.

A beast of a jacket. love it.

As a daily cycle commuter I have had two previous 'Altura night vision' jackets over the last 10 years, with great results in wind, snow rain and sun..(on cold days). The 'Storm' Jacket is a slightly different beast, It has a heavier material and does not have a 'net' liner, so wearing it with short sleeves in heavy weather can feel a little cold when wet, and I have been very wet... Ventilation zips are also not as large nor the access to the rear pocket, and this is only accessible from the right hand with a vertical zip rather than top access. This said, the Jacket is named 'Storm' for the right reasons, nothing has got through this jacked, the zips are all waterproofed, breast and rear pockets are well protected with deep flaps and the smaller under arm ventilation has proved more than adequate so far. In short the Jacket is a beast, and I find myself looking forward to 'rough weather' just to put it on.. I have had it now for a couple of weeks and worn it every day. 5 Stars.

Jacket delivers its specification and fits me.

Jacket sizing works for me on fitness cycling. The small size (for my nominal 38 inch) has a enough space for 2 base layers and a Gillette and not "flap". Kept me comfortable at 4 deg C. It is windproof.
Need bigger size if "about town " jacket over normal clothes.
A level of condensation in the jacket does occur. Waterproof on drizzle. Not experienced significant rain yet. Colour is bright and visible.

Replacement for a hi viz from another manufacturer

Replacement for a hi viz from another manufacturer. The previous one got shredded when a truck squeezed me into a Thornbush.
The Altura one seems to be made of a more robust material. Fits really well. Like the reflective dots detailing. Orange is bright without being vulgar. Rear storage pocket decent size and zipped. Also found the front pocket useful.

Great for Road and MTB cycling and Horse Riding!

I have three of these jackets, all in yellow. A Medium one for my road bike, a Large, looser fitting jacket for Mountain Biking and an XL one for Horse Riding (so I can wear a fleece underneath).
All three are perfect for their respective roles, with pockets and vents in just the right places, incl a chest phone pocket that has been reliably waterproof.
Easy to wash, good fit and good hi viz.

Definitely recommended

The jacket is really well made and has a good sporty cut. I use it every day on my way to work. For me, it would be even better if it had longer zippers under the arms for ventilation but I still enjoy the jacket!

Great quality jacket, that sheds rain and keeps

Great quality jacket, that sheds rain and keeps the rain. I'm much drier and warmer wearing it, and the reflective dots shine up in car headlights. The back vent helps keep the breathable fabric wearing, and if I get too hot, the full length zip is easily undone. Can recommend this jacket.

Very happy!

I bought this for my daily commute to work. I have only worn it once but I can say, for a reflective jacket, it feels very premium.

Simple design done very well, based on the feel of the material, I don't think there will be any issues with waterproofing.

My old jacket was a similar style but bought from an army surplus store at a discount. The quality just wasn't anywhere near as good as this Altura Nightvision Jacket. My old one had such a rough interior that I almost never wore it without a long sleeve on inside because it was so scratchy. This jacket I wore with just a teeshirt today and I have to say, it is smooth and warm inside, with the option for increased ventilation if I want which is nice.

Shipping took about 2 weeks to Ireland, which is fine and nothing to do with Altura who shipped it immediately.

Overall, I am very happy with this purchase. The cost is more than I had set out to spend initially but the proof is in the pudding as they say - the jacket feels like it will last a long time and serve me well.

Reliable, Conspicuous and Comfortable.

I’m 5’11” tall, and wear size L in this jacket.

I’m now wearing my second Storm jacket in yellow, having lost the first. This is a very light, highly conspicuous jacket, with good deep pockets. I like the deep scoop tail, the roomy shoulder area (good when wearing over a jersey) and the high collar. The internal storm flap provides effective protection against water ingress in windy conditions.

All in all, a highly recommended piece of kit.

Fit is true to size on large- plenty of pockets

Fit is true to size on large- plenty of pockets (took me a week to find the large rear pocket👴🤡) pit zips always a positive advantage and you won't be missed in daylight or definitely night - whilst still looking good. Don't know how waterproof yet but plenty warm whilst still breathable. Typical altura product - well thought out and exceptionally fit for purpose.
