Smaller than the last pair

Smaller than the last pair, so difficult to put on; better to purchase from a shop where you can actually try on the goods.

Sizing issue: they come up small

These looked like really nice gloves but they have a serious sizing issue. I bought 2XL and I couldn't get my hands in them. I normally buy size XL and they have lots of room in them.

Beware of size

These are great warm gloves only problem is the size they are OK fingers length but the palm size is too small making getting them on and off difficult

Completely failed to keep my hands warm in cold temperatures.

I asked my wife for a pair of these gloves for Christmas and I haven't had the heart to tell her how disappointed I am with them. I can't comment on the waterproof quality as I haven't used them in rain. However, I have been out on two rides at near zero temperature and they have been completely ineffective at keeping my fingers warm. I couldn't wait to get to the coffee stop so I could take them off and warm my hands. So much for insulated gloves. I do not recommend them.

Chose size bigger than guide.

Sizing from the guide (medium) has given me gloves that are very tight to put on. Insulation in the fingers is a bit compact. So - sizing guide probably right for standard gloves. Insulated, go one size bigger.
Gloves work well. Kept hands ok for 2 hours ride at 4 degC. Not had heavy rain test yet.

Worst gloves ive ever had

Worst gloves ive ever had. 10 minutes into a ride and my fingers are cold. Hand sweating so inside are wet from sweat and when they dry stink.
Wont buy again!

My best bit of cycling kit by a mile...

I'm not on commission.

I've had a pair of Altura Waterproof gloves for years now. They are lightweight but really do the job.

My last few ski trips? My Altura gloves have seen me toasty 3,300m up a glacier.

Feel confident that these will look after you on a wet afternoon Lincs....

First time wearing these in more than a shower

First time wearing these in more than a shower and they were soaked through in less than an hour. When I eventually took them off they weighed a tonne!!! OK for temperatures down to about zero Celsius but do not buy if you want warm hands

Waterproof and Warm

Before using them, I was perplexed by the double cuff but after tucking my jacket between the two layers, it makes so much sense - they really keep the elements out of the gloves/sleeves/torso.
Windproofing and great insulation keeps my hands warm.
Some waterproof gloves can feel removed from the handlebar, but these have got decent connection with the grips if I'm off road.

Fingers are cut too narrow

Went up a size, but still too tight in the fingers, I have small slender hands.

Ideal

Just why I wanted for my son out on his paper rounds on his bike in the mornings.

Not a patch on the older versions

Very slim fingers, difficult to get off after a few hours riding due to the lack of breathability. You have to pull each finger out at a time and even harder to then get back on.

Not very warm or waterproof

Wore these on a short cold and rainy cycle. They didn't keep my hands warm and when I put them back on a couple of hours later they felt damp inside.

Replacing a 13 year old pair of Altura NightVision gloves.

I'm replacing a 13 year old pair of NightVision gloves, due to wearing out the insulation in the finger tips and so getting cold fingers. 13 years is outstanding value, so I've bought these as a replacement. These gloves seem to be the same quality with improvements. I'm very pleased with how very warm and waterproof they are, my previous pair required waterproofing with a spray these don't so far. I'm certain drivers notice the gloves in daylight and night-time, especially the yellow in twilight. I ride Audax and have found that like all waterproof gloves they wet-out from the inside after 3-4 hours of riding.... but that's not typical riding and it's also typical for all waterproof gloves! I highly recommend for winter day riding, and night-time in autumn and spring.

Best pair of winter gloves I've ever owned

It's absolutely paramount to keep the hands dry and warm during the winter cycling runs, one of the main reasons being our hands are mostly resting on the handlebar without much movements. One of the reasons I decided to buy a pair of Altrura Waterproof Insulated gloves. The best winter gloves I have ever owned, thanks for the quality product.

Annoying labels

I damaged the seem of the glove by trying to remove the product care label. Not clear that it needed to be cut (no dotted line) and turned out it was attached to the seem. This is a pretty basic thing that could be improved. Essentially I damaged the glove before I even wore them. Had to sew up the damage after.

Great gloves

They might be better for temperature above 5°. Great design and very comfy.
