High hopes

I'm a big person and needed something in the XXXL range with a high waterproof rating for my commuting. I know this is not high viz and wish there was some more reflective parts like on Altura's other jackets.
I had one worry about this which was the pockets as the zips are not waterproof. The inside of the pockets are pertex too and the inner pockets are great for holding things in place and off the bottom of the pocket.
The extended cuff, and high neck/zip are nice features. I've used this in light drizzle and not a full downpour yet but I have high hopes.

Great jacket. Absolutely lashed down and I was perfectly dry. Great to have a jacket with a hood that easily goes over a cycle helmet.

Excellent jacket

I didn't tried on a heavy rain yet but the fabric looks perfectly capable, I expected to be thicker but is good enough against the cold and perfectly breathable.
The fit is relaxed but you can adjust weist and wrists, the velcro on the wrist adjustment is made of high quality fabric. Although the hoodie doesn't cover completely to the front of a MTB helmet, it stays tight and can be tightened more if you need.
It has one big very accessible pocket on each side and inside of these there is a little stretching pocket to keep your phone or keys safely, a very good feature!
It also comes with armpit ventilation with good quality zips.
I'm very happy with this jacket, 100% recommended!

Waterproof and breathable but not perfect

I’ve found the jacket to be a little tight around the upper arms if you have a broad square shoulder but when the sleeves ride up it eliminates the tightness when cycling. It breathes really well under high intensity exercise and the DWR was good out of the box. My only gripe and hence it only gets 4 stars is that some of the seam sealing tape is not fully sealed. Yes I could send it back etc etc but I know I can remedy that myself as I have done on other similar garments. Overall good value for the money for what it is and performance.

Good fit in length, arm length, chest & waist but oddly narrow across the shoulders.
