A tough three-layer fabric carries a 10K/10K waterproof and breathability rating with a C0 DWR finish, and fully taped seams mean water doesn't sneak through the stitching. What sets it apart is how much it does. Underarm vents and a front zip popper system give you targeted airflow so you can regulate temperature on long climbs instead of cooking inside your shell. A grown-on hood fits over a helmet and cinches down with a simple volume adjuster. What does a 10K/10K rating actually mean?

The first number is waterproofing: the fabric withstands a 10,000mm column of water before it lets any through. The second is breathability: 10,000g of moisture vapour can pass out through a square metre of fabric in 24 hours. In practice, that's solid protection for sustained rain with enough breathability for steady trail efforts.
How does the women's fit differ from the men's Esker?

It's shaped through the body and shoulders for a women's fit, with the same relaxed cut that leaves room to layer. Feature set and fabric are identical across both.
Will the hood fit over my helmet?

Yes. The hood is grown on rather than detachable and sized to go over a helmet, with a volume adjuster to pull it in when you're riding without one.
How do I keep it performing in the wet?

Wash it when it starts wetting out rather than beading. The C0 DWR finish wears down with dirt and use, and a wash usually revives it. Reproof with a technical wash-in or spray-on treatment when it stops responding.
